For load securing, we offer a selection of grade 8 lashing chains. These are available as 1-piece or 2-piece systems. Our lashing chains are manufactured exclusively in accordance with EN 12195-3. All components are made of quenched and tempered grade 8 steel (Grade 80).<br/>If you cannot find the right product, please contact us! We can modify the various lashing chains and adapt them individually to your specific application.

Lashing Chains – Proven Aids for Load Securing
Lashing chains are another important aid for load securing. They are devices used to secure loads and consist of a tensioning chain with or without connecting elements and a tensioning element, such as a ratchet tensioner or ratchet load binder. They are usually used when heavy loads need to be secured, for example in heavy-duty transport.
Lashing chains can be used for both tie-down lashing and direct lashing. With both lashing methods, very high lashing capacities (LC) and pre-tensioning forces can be achieved using lashing chains. Lashing chains are fitted with a rectangular metal identification tag.
In terms of design, a distinction is made between systems with an integrated tensioning element (1-piece system) and systems with a separate tensioning element (2-piece system):
Grade 8 Lashing Chains | 1-Piece System
In a 1-piece system, the lashing chain and ratchet load binder are permanently connected. The length of these lashing systems can only be adjusted on one side of the ratchet load binder. The advantage of 1-piece systems is that no parts can be lost.
Grade 8 Lashing Chains | 2-Piece System
In a 2-piece system, the lashing chain and ratchet load binder are separate. These lashing systems can be used flexibly, as the ratchet load binder can be attached to the chain wherever it fits best. This means that 2-piece lashing chains can help prevent damage to painted surfaces.
