New Leadership Team at SHZ GmbH

The second generation continues the company’s international growth course with a clear strategy – focusing on innovation, efficiency and strong partnerships.

With a clear strategy and international focus, the second generation is leading SHZ Sächsische Hebe- und Zurrtechnik GmbH into a new phase of corporate development. On 24 October 2025, company founder Günter Böhme (66) transferred his company shares to his children Matthias (43) and Franziska Böhme (36). The generational transition has now also been formally completed.

The New Leadership Team

With the generational transition, SHZ GmbH has realigned its leadership structure. In addition to Matthias and Franziska Böhme, Jens Kircheis (Plant Manager), and Marcus Fabich (Head of Sales and Purchasing), are now part of the extended management team.

The aim of this new structure is to pool expertise and implement development and growth projects even more efficiently. Jens Kircheis brings many years of experience in the automation of production processes, while Marcus Fabich is driving the expansion of sales and purchasing as well as internationalisation. In this way, SHZ GmbH is creating the ideal conditions for technological development and sustainable growth.

Clear Strategy for Sustainable Growth

Franziska and Matthias Böhme look to the future with optimism. Based on five strategic pillars, the new leadership team is systematically driving the further development of SHZ GmbH – with the aim of permanently combining economic strength, technological innovation and social responsibility.

1. Diversification and Internationalisation

By expanding into new markets and product segments, SHZ GmbH is strengthening its resilience to economic fluctuations. Following its successful market entry in Chile, the focus is now on the European market, where the company is establishing new sales partnerships. The goal is annual revenue growth in the double-digit percentage range and the sustainable expansion of the company’s international presence.

2. Automation and Digitalisation

The consistent use of modern production and planning systems increases efficiency and transparency across all production stages. Customers benefit from real-time insight into the production status of their orders – a clear advantage in terms of service quality and process reliability.

3. Sustainability and Energy Efficiency

With investments in a new solar power system, which will cover up to 70 percent of the site’s electricity requirements in the future, SHZ is focusing on climate-friendly self-supply. At the same time, the vehicle fleet is gradually being converted to hybrid and electric vehicles – a clear commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices.

4. Resource Conservation and Circular Economy

SHZ GmbH has been awarded the CO₂ seal “Environmentally Friendly Disposal” for its commitment. Production waste is systematically recycled, and textile remnants are returned to the cycle as secondary raw materials. Innovative disposal concepts significantly reduce waste volume and transport requirements by as much as 90 percent – a strong contribution to CO₂ reduction and the circular economy in the textile industry.
